Duration: 4 Weeks

Location: Online via live interactive lessons. 
(Simply click on the link that you will receive on the day of the lesson and you will be in the virtual classroom with the teacher and the other students)

Every Tuesday 19.00 (UK time)

Lesson time: 1 hour per week 
Time (live lesson): 19:00 – 20:00 (UK time)   



Weeks Description

Week 1: Introducing yourself

• To be able to introduce yourself in Italian and give your name.
• To learn the verbs: to be “essere”, to live “vivere”, to call “Chiamarsi” and “Avere” to have.
• To engage in an exchange of personal information.
• To understand a personal introduction by listening.

Week 2: In the Restaurant

• Use the numbers from 1 to 20 in Italian.
• Understand a detailed Italian menu.
• Use Italian phrases to order food in a restaurant.
• Ask for further information in a restaurant
• Engage in a dialogue with a waiter/waitress

Week 3: Places around town with directions

• Learn the vocabulary of places around town and directions in the city.
• Describe your home town.
• Give and follow directions when on holiday in Italy.

Week 4: Accommodation and booking a Hotel Room

• Learn to say where you come from.
• Learners will be able to describe their own homes.
• Leaners will be able to book a hotel room.
• Be able to engage in an exchange of information relating to where they come from and where they live.
In this progressive course week by week you will build on your grammar and vocabulary base to become more competent and confident when using the Italian language.

The course is designed to be enjoyable and fun. You can be as interactive as you wish or just sit back and listen.

We have lots of experience teaching languages and understand that every learner is different with some preferring to just listen while others prefer to discuss subjects deeply.

  • Is this course good to prepare me for a travel to Italy?
  • ​Absolutely yes, most of our students have followed this course to prepare themselves for the best holiday of their life. 
  • ​Will it be possible to practice my pronunciation?
  • ​Yes of course. This is a live interactive course. In the courses there will be exercises where you will be very welcome to practice your Italian, but if you are shy and you don't want to interact you can use the chat feature or just seat back and listen.
  • ​Is the Teacher a Native teacher?
  • ​Absolutely, the teacher is a native experienced teacher and he is expert in teaching British and Americans speakers. 
  • ​I am not very technical. How do I access to the live online Lesson?
  • ​To access the live online lesson is extremely easy. You will receive an email with the link before the lesson. You will just have to click on the link of the email that you will receive and you will be in the web class. 
  • Do I need a notepad during the lesson?
  • ​Ideally you will have pen and paper with you in case you want to take some notes or practice some exercises. 
Your Italian teacher: 
Emanuele Marangio graduated in Modern Languages and Linguistics at the University of Padova. He is passionate about language learning and bi-lingual brains and a true believer that anybody can learn a new language with the right approach.
